The University of Virginia Percussion Ensemble will work with guest artist Gregory Beyer over a two-day period of clinics and rehearsals to rehearse and perform Beyer’s fios e linhas, composed for and dedicated to I-Jen Fang and the UVA Percussion Ensemble. Beyer and Fang will also perform the American premiere of Dois Gestos, a new marimba and vibraphone duo by Brazilian pianist and composer, André Mehmari.
