As part of this year’s National Flute Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas, I am delighted to join my friends and colleagues Dave Hall (UNT) and I-Jen Fang (University of Virginia) as we accompany flautist Terri Sundberg (UNT) in George Crumb’s classic work, “Idyll for the Misbegotten” as part of a tribute concert to the composer and his iconic chamber works for flute and percussion. Our performance is dedicated to the memory of our mutual colleague and dear friend, Christopher Deane (1957-2021).
