Bahian Counterpoint
One of the first works I composed for multiple berimbaus. Performed as a solo work with DVD accompaniment. Essentially an homage to the "counterpoint" series of works by Steve Reich, but for berimbaus and caxixi baskets. Created in New York City and the Banff Centre, Canada.

This is a work I've written for berimbau/percussion soloist with wind ensemble and female or children's chorus accompaniment. It was commisioned in 2006 by the Freeport World Arts Festival.
